blockchain commune, MOscow

Blockchain Commune is a futuristic laboratory located within a landmark of constructivist architecture — the experimental commune building designed and constructed in 1929–1930. Conceived as one of the largest expert centers in Russia, the project provides an extensive collaborative workspace for a wide range of business sectors and developers of blockchain technologies. The design aimed to create an environment where research, innovation, and applied digital practices could intersect within a historically significant setting. The original concept also incorporated a network of hybrid, multifunctional event spaces, each equipped with mobile configurations, adaptive technical infrastructure, and augmented-reality capabilities. These elements were intended to support dynamic educational programs, public events, and interdisciplinary experimentation, positioning the commune as a flexible and forward-looking platform for technological development.
