PRIVATE HOUSE

Ubud, Bali, Indonesia

This two-bedroom villa is nestled in the tropical mountains at the heart of Bali, near the island’s cultural capital, Ubud. Set on a sloping plot, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountain landscape.
The site features a natural elevation drop from the entrance down toward the canyon, and the villa’s architecture responds to this terrain with a series of staggered levels, creating a fluid and dynamic spatial experience.
The monolithic concrete structure is thoughtfully oriented to capture the view. From the entrance, the layout unfolds along a linear axis aligned with the infinity pool, which stretches toward the horizon. A wide-open facade in the living area frames the dramatic scenery, dissolving the boundary between interior and nature.
